Xerox self portrait

This project was a challenge for the artist. She does not usually work in self-portraits and using a newer medium of white charcoal was difficult. The artist started with a mid-toned paper and then added both black and white charcoal and some graphite to push the darks even deeper. Overall, this piece was a welcome challenge.
